Antioch East operates in 24 ministry areas to meet the needs of the discipleship, leadership and community-at-large. Each ministry was created out of the purpose of God, and then established. They are uniquely designed to bring the disciples into the mind of Christ, while embracing the attitude of success He created them to achieve. View our ministries below. Wednesday Bible Study:

This study is designed to develop the leaders and members with a more systematic and comprehensive study of the bible. Bible Study provides the nurture and spiritual growth necessary for productive, fruitful and blessed lives. II Timothy 2:15

 

Midweek Bible Study:

The Bible Institute is a back to the basic training in the sound teaching of God's Word. From Genesis to Revelation, each book is critically studied for relevant and relational bonds of understanding the application of the scriptures.

 

Outreach Ministry:

The Mission for the Outreach Ministry of Antioch East Baptist Church: Our mission is to carry forth what Jesus Christ started years ago. We provide help to meet the needs of those who are less fortunate in the community, the world and in the church. We feed those who hunger, we clothe those who are naked and help those who have shelter needs. 


Praise and Worship Ministry:

To usher in the highest praise "Alleluia" of Shekonah Glory- To lift Christ in praise and worship, singing gospel and contemporary praise songs unto the Lord.

Bus-Transportation Ministry:

The Bus Ministry is an outreach program of the saved and the unsaved. This ministry is to go out to the highway and hedges to provide a ride to the churched and un-churched, compelling them to come, that the house of God will be filled.

Decorations Ministry:

Provide all decorations, fresh flowers and beautification of the Antioch East Baptist Church facilities.

Media Ministry:

This ministry focus is on communication inside and outside the church body. This ministry is an informed and technical part of the church, empowering the church body with information from the community and around the world. Hosea 4:6

 

New Members Orientation Ministry:

This ministry is designed to properly orientate each member with the biblical and doctrinal principles of the church according to the Word of God in the use of their time, talent, tithe, and treasure. They will have a better understanding of God's plan, purpose, and promise for their life.

 

Wedding Ministry:

This ministry is designed to provide biblical counseling in the area of family and marriage. There are three (3) AEBC marriage packages to choose from, for members and non-members.


Culinary Ministry:

The Antioch East's food and catering services provide meals for various church, social and banquet functions throughout the year. Contact the church administration office for cafeteria schedule and reservations.

 

Nurses Guild Ministry:

The purpose of the nurses' guild ministry is to localize its efforts in a statewide fight against diseases; in our church and community. To enlighten and enlist the public in regards to health programs and agencies for wellness, healing and for preventing diseases. 3 John 1:2; "I wish above all things that you prospereth and be in good health, that your soul prospereth."
 

Sunday School:

The purpose of this school is to teach the Bible with proper interpretation for larger spiritual growth, deeper commitment, and to witness to the lost. The Sunday School is where we gain Biblical knowledge through study.

 

Finance Ministry:

Mission: To provide viable, financial procedures and carry out responsibilities that will govern achieving the overall financial accountabilities of the church.

 

Deacons Ministry:

Deacons are the pastors' helpers, church servants, ordained by the pastor and affirmed by the church body (Acts 6:4). Also the deacons help to keep the spirit of the church in the bonds of peace.

 

Deaconess Ministry   

The Deaconess Ministry are wives and widows of ordained deacons of Antioch East Baptist Church charged to stand in unison with the Deacon Ministry in serving the spiritual needs of the church; encouraging their husbands in the vineyard; supporting their pastor in the ministry; preparing communion and assisting with baptism; modeling the character of deacons’ wives as stated in I Timothy 3:11; eagerly and diligently studying the Word; and sharing the flame of the Holy Spirit amongst the congregation and the community in love, deeds and prayers.                                                                                          

 

Scholarship Ministry:

The prophet Hosea states in the fourth chapter, sixth verse, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge"  Like all the prophetic books in the bible, Hosea emphasizes the sins of Israel and issues a plea for the nation to return to God. In the verse above, God judges and finds Israel guilty of an ignorance of His Word. As believers, we can only live the Christian life through personal knowledge of the Word of God. As we reject the Word of God, we are doomed to failure in the Christian Life.

 

Trustee Ministry:

"The Ministry of Up Keep" - The ministry with the responsibility of making repairs, maintenance, improvements, and betterment of the property of the church.

 

Pastor's Aid Ministry:

The mission and aim of the Pastor's Aid Ministry is to serve God in the beauty of holiness.  To this end our worship also includes service and it is our aim to offer support primarily to God's appointed servant and the entire church.  In all things we strive to have God glorified!

The Courtesy Guild Ministry:

The AEBC Courtesy Guild Ministry mission is to provide an atmosphere whereby visitors will feel comfortable and welcomed during worship services. To be of good cheer, hospitable to one another without complaint, attending to the needs of the congregation and the church’s visitors, demonstrating love, and concern for God’s people.

 

Ushers Ministry:

The Usher Ministry is to create spiritual dignity; to maintain reverence; order and a prayerful atmosphere, and to be the hands of God, the smile of the Church and the Arm of fellowship.

 

Music Ministry:

A company of believers of the church who are organized for the purpose of leading the congregation into worship. The choirs leads the congregation into singing in worship, hymns of praise, aspiration, invitation, thanksgiving, trust, joy and love; by singing gospel, spirituals, anthems, contemporary songs and hip hop gospel.

 

Men's Ministry:
The focus of the Men's Ministry here at Antioch East is the family structure and a relationship with church. It is our goal that every man who has accepted Christ as his personal Savior aught also to share HIM (1 John 3:16) starting with the family, then to the local body of Christ and finally to the community at large. 

 

Women's Ministry:

Women's Ministry Mission

“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” Proverbs 31:25

The Women’s Ministry of Antioch exists to glorify God in application and in deed as He has equipped women of all ages and in all seasons of life to use their God given talents to support the church’s vision by studying, teaching, and sharing the word of God beyond the boundaries of our church walls. 

 

Young Adult Ministry {YAM}:

To engage the young adults, within the church and the community, in neighborhood outreach activities while practicing and growing in our Christian values; cultivating relationships across generations. Ecclesiastes 11:9-10

Youth Department:

The Youth of Antioch East Baptist Church are letting their light shine at home, school, church and wherever they go.  Through a variety of Christian-based activities, education and fellowship, our goal is to equip our youth to live, love and lead the way God intended.  The Youth Department is a four-fold ministry, which includes:

  • Christian Youth Forum (monthly outings/activities)

  • Outreach Committee (community service project for our youth)

  • Life Skills Committee (provides workshops on various real life  topics to increase our youth’s skillsets)

  • Children’s Church (bible study in a fun, creative atmosphere held on 1st, 2nd and 5th Sundays during worship service)
